Terms of Service
The conditions for using our educational site and browser-based assessment tools.
1 Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SaferAgenticAI.org and its associated tools (the "Service"). The Service is operated by the Safer Agentic AI Community of Practice (the "operator", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2 Service Description
The Service comprises an educational website presenting research on safer agentic AI, together with a browser-based, client-side assessment tool that helps you evaluate organisations and systems against the Safer Agentic AI Framework. The assessment tool runs in your own browser. Where it performs AI-assisted analysis, it does so using an API key that you supply, calling a third-party AI provider directly from your browser.
3 No Warranty
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We make no guarantee that the Service will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, nor that it will be fit for any particular use. You use the Service at your own risk.
4 AI-Output Disclaimer
Assessment scores, advisor guidance, and remediation suggestions produced by the Service are AI-generated and illustrative. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
AI-generated output does not constitute legal, regulatory, compliance, or professional advice. It is provided for educational and illustrative purposes only. You are responsible for independently verifying any output before relying on it, and for seeking qualified professional advice where appropriate.
5 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator, its contributors, and its volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
6 User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree that:
- Lawful use: You will use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
- Uploaded evidence: You own, or have all necessary rights and consents to submit, any documents or evidence you provide to the assessment tool, and your submission does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
- API keys and third-party costs: You are solely responsible for your own AI provider API key, for keeping it secure, and for any charges, usage, and terms imposed by the third-party providers you use (such as Anthropic or OpenAI). We do not control and are not responsible for those providers, their services, or their fees.
7 Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit, transmit, or use the Service in connection with any content or conduct that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, malicious, or otherwise harmful. You agree not to attempt to disrupt, compromise, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or any related systems.
8 Intellectual Property
The Safer Agentic AI Framework content and the source code of this website are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence (opens in new tab), which permits sharing and adaptation for any purpose, including commercially, provided you give appropriate credit, link to the licence, and indicate any changes you made. This matches the licence declared in the project's public repository.
Two things sit outside that licence. First, our names, logos and trade marks — including "Safer Agentic AI" and the associated logo — are not licensed by CC BY 4.0, and the licence does not give you permission to imply that we endorse you or your use. Second, some third-party material included in the site is governed by its own terms: the site design is derived from the Clarity template (opens in new tab) (also CC BY 4.0), and bundled fonts, icon sets and libraries remain subject to their respective licences.
9 Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Service.
10 Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date below. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Effective date: July 2026.
